Principal Wilson to Join Chappaqua School District

Alexander Wolff

Dear Pelham Parents and Community Members,

Colonial School Principal Tonya Wilson announced today that she has accepted a position at the Chappaqua Central School District and will be leaving the Pelham Public Schools at the end of this summer. Mrs. Wilson has been a member of our district for the past 21 years, first as a teacher before becoming principal in 2010. Throughout her time in Pelham, she has been a fearless advocate for students and an incredible leader who has helped shape the District's educational program in countless ways. She will be sorely missed.

As we prepare for the beginning of what we know will be a challenging school year, we will likely be appointing an interim principal for Colonial School before beginning the search for Mrs. Wilson's successor. We will be sharing additional information both about the immediate plans for the principal position and the upcoming search process as they become available.

I look forward to working with Mrs. Wilson over the remaining weeks of summer as we finalize plans for the 2020-21 school year and ask that you join me in congratulating her on her new opportunity and next chapter.

Sincerely,

Dr. Champ
